Practice SAC

Wednesday 15 July 2026  ·  Room A201  ·  work through it this period — great Unit 3 revision

📝 Today's task

You've got a practice SAC to work through this period. It's great revision — going through the questions shows you exactly which topics to brush up on before the real one. It isn't marked and there's no pressure, so just get as much out of it as you can.

What to do

  1. Collect a practice SAC paper from the front desk and find a spot to work.
  2. Work through it at a steady pace. You can check your notes and textbook if you get stuck — the goal is to practise and find the gaps, not to test yourself. (If you'd rather test yourself, try it closed-book first, then check.)
  3. Show full working for every question — setting out each step clearly is the best thing to practise for the real SAC.
  4. Use your CAS calculator as you normally would. If a part is marked tech-free, have a go at it by hand for the practice.
  5. Make good use of the period. Get through as much as you can, and note down anything you're unsure about so you can ask next lesson.

SAC technique — quick reminders

Keep your paper — you don't hand this one in. We'll work through the solutions together next lesson, so hang on to it, mark your own, and use it for revision.
